It was difficult trying to figure out how to layout the ad. First off, the original ad wasn't really appealing. Second, the information given wasn't highlighted correctly, therefore making the ad ineffective. In this first redesign, I let the picture do most of the talking and let it be the center of attention, only putting the title, date, sponsors, proceeds up above the cyclists and additional information at the bottom. I feel that this is a very simple yet effective way to redesign the ad.
In this second redesign, I, again, used the picture as the center of attention and moved all of the information to the left and still left enough room for all the original information that was on the ugly ad.
In this third one, I chose to make the title the most important aspect because that's what this ad is advertising. Next I put the picture as the most important because it catches the readers attention. After, I put all the information given on the original ad. Personally I wouldn't put all the events because it becomes too much to read after a while (plus, I like simple ads) but since we couldn't take anything out, I laid it out as seen in the picture. I ended up using this one as my rough for my final.
